KHP was founded by Amit Ashraf, a graduate of NYU Tisch Film School, who brings a creative expertise with a focus on filmmaking, animation, and writing. Having directed notable fiction films like "Udhao," "Kali," and "Kathal," Amit seamlessly blends emotion, psychology, and a visual style. Paired with a professional and talented team, Kazi House Productions can handle any shoot, big or small.
NARRATIVES
In 2013, our first feature Udhao screened at 25 international film festivals, picked up five awards, and was released theatrically. It tells the story about a bounty hunter who catches runaway father. In 2015, we produced the sci-fi film Apartment 5D for GTV, about a realtor who becomes obsessed with a VR home. In 2016, streaming platform Bioscope Live commissioned us to produce Bangladesh’s first web series, Kali, about an acid victim turned vigilante crimefighter. In 2020 we partnered with a Singapore company to produce the family comedy Kathal, about two kids who go on a jackfruit heist. We are currently working on a sci-fi feature.

Kazi House Productions is founded by veteran filmmaker AMIT ASHRAF. A graduate of NYU's prestigious film school, Amit returned to Bangladesh in 2009 to start his business. In the last 10 years he's worked on countless commercials, feature films, animations and documentaries. We works as a director, producer and screenwriter. SAIQ'A CHOWDHURY is a visual designer, trained in design & tech at Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York. She combines her classical roots in Bengali Literature and Art with modern practices and artistic traditions, creating a personalized fusion of aesthetics, imaginative animation, publications and objects.
